The Cash Gun is a Special weapon introduced in the 23.8.0 Update. It was obtainable in the Black Friday Event for 500 Black Friday Coupons.
Appearance
Externals
Taking some aspects from an M32 grenade launcher, this money shooter has a cylinder chamber with three light green neon holdings, which is cut halfway revealing its stacks of bundled bright green cash piling up to its feeding system, a gray body is visible though its three-toned purple frame along its loading port, trigger guard, off-hand handle, and along the edges of its cylinder. Above its bright light green trigger is a neon light green U.S. dollar sign with minor visual effects, followed above by its light green open sight. From the leftmost view, the launcher has a bump stock and rightmost, a muzzle break, which has three rectangular neon green serrations, with a light emission visual effect that glows from left-to-right every second and looping.
Ballistics
Cannisters that are sent off come in the form of a roll of green cash, illuminated by a green particle, with a tail-end piece, indicating it's not an amorphous blob of money. As the initial bullet travels off, it leaves behind a light bright green translucent trail, several sticks of cash disperse from the reaction along with a bright green muzzle flash. Following the trigger pull, a 400 millisecond animation begins, rechambering the mound from underneath the cylinder.
Mechanics
Once the wrap bashes onto a surface, it enters a 500 millisecond timer that once run down, will prompt the sprite to combust into a green spherical blast with a light bright green epicenter and a translucent light green shockwave engulfs the fragment. As this envelops, money scatters instantaneously the moment the explosion occurs.
Cycle
Because of the design of its munition, the character will first withdraw the commerce remaining in the gun, then take out the drum 600 milliseconds preceding. Before the frames finish the avatar reattaches the cartridge to the insertion and then pulls new paperbacks from out and under the basin in an action similar to that of a belt-feeder system seen in a Stoner 96.
Performance
Struck where it would finally hurt most, this royalty was dethroned in the Aztec Update - along with its brother, the , transitioning from the highly oppressive Bonus Kill Points, to now, Bonus Kill Assist Points; not only is this elimination type much more difficult to achieve reliably and frequently, but it also diminishes such returns it once had, from 50pts (decked out) formerly, to a measly 25. No longer bringing promise to quick elevations in score, think of this new attribute merely as an add-on, that can slightly improve its already highly effective spam-style attack.
So now, looking at it from a more current perspective, this launcher maintains its dominance as an evolution to past recursion guns, like the Sock Bomber, flinging off lobs of cash across the scenery and either defeating enemies in three shots, or in its (6x, maximum) bounce-around. Opt for maps of short distances, buildings, and/or low verticality where the versus is greatly tipped, withdrawing the dangers in isolation with Jetpack's and Hit-Scan Weaponry, allowing its high rate of fire, massive spending spree, and heavy-hits to spare change with almost[1][2] anything the enemy can dish out.

Strategy[]
Tips[]
- It's best to wield this weapon in Deathmatch - given its
.
- Always neutralize the range gap with this weapon, as though its projectiles can move quickly, they cannot adequately deal with Sniper's and a multitude of other instant-hit weapons.
- Stay inside confined spaces, i.e. buildings, to make the most of its ricochets.
- Don't worry about being loud, fire this weapon as often as possible whenever turning corners.
- Keep the heat on, don't reload unless absolutely necessary.
- Target multiple corners of a given surface to create volleys of refraction.
- Don't avoid directly impacting an opponent, do it if forced.
- Maintain some distance from enemies at all times, a benefit of its projectile is the ability to hitmark outside its assumed contact point.
Counters[]
- Try to "relocate" the battle outside compact spaces, or play in more open maps[3][4][5][6].
- Activating a Jetpack will force the user to either avoid you, or pursue you using aim alone.
- Use
items with large projectiles (if possible) to neutralize or ward off places of interest for the handler.
- This gun is noticeably susceptible to weapons which generate
.
- Nuclear Grenade's can indirectly force the carrier to change position.
Recommended Maps[]
Equipment Setups[]
Encountering enemies in great distances, or at the peril of "joyriders" use any Rifle to finish them off in quick succession; notable ones should include the ,
, or
. Among various others which can down maxed opponent's in three or less shots.
It should be noted that because of the classification of this weapon, scampering to a Primary to dish out a lethal ,
, or
shell onto such attackers in a moments notice may take to much time, but can be feasible - particularly with a controller.
Gain the most out of its passive by only tagging enemies, and leaving them up to another opponent/ally, utilizing the Mafia Equipment & , adding twenty-five score per assist; while it won't get handlers close to the top anymore, as it once did, it can come in handy, breaking would-be close ties, or jumping over other players that are spending more time killing.
Popularity[]
Irrespective of the significant change that was made, outright doing away with multiplying vanquishes, this dispenser retains its status as some of the better looking weapons, along with the devastating firepower to put in reserve, chucking out large pucks that scatter across contact points in quick and often lethal succession.
Just know, before the attribute change, even the most menacing players would exit lobbies, as users struck a jackpot every game, hitting first place with minimal effort - a milestone that is still key in Elite Challenges.
Changelog[]
- Initial release.
- Mobility increased from 65 to 75.
- Damage reduced by 19%.
Trivia[]
- It resembles an M32 Grenade Launcher[7].
- Whenever entering its reload sequence, the user will find that the dollar icon flickers twice, once when the characters left hand retrieves the money, then another inserting the currency back into the port.
- If immediately impacting a surface, the projectile will last for 500 milliseconds thereafter.
- Firing into open space and the explosion does not take place until 1.5s has lapsed.
- Taking all that into account, maximize this weapons damage potential by punting rounds onto surfaces several blocks away, rather than point-blanking them; as the object rocketeers into open space it can tag a target whilst creating its path, then returning again, rather than being lost in the process of recursion.
- Technically speaking, the requirement of obtaining this item was through the solicitation of approximately one-hundred USD (for 1,000 Black Friday Coupons, necessary to completing the event), outside of Tapjoy Offers, making it the second most expensive gun in the game.
- Just a month later the Deadly Icicle premieres, which demands 384 stars total to reap, being roughly four-hundred bucks to buy outright (Although, easily obtainable by completing tasks in the Christmas Tree and/or Christmas Showdown)! Speculation says this is a win-win for the Developers since players must make due with the challenges ahead, or compromise at a 400% "pricing".
