The Devil's Lament is a Melee weapon introduced in the 24.6.0 update. It can be obtained from the Old school lottery
Description[]
Devil's Lament is a melee with movement similar to Thermal Ultra Scythe. It is a fairly balanced melee, usually resulting in 2 hits before the enemy is killed. After a few kills in 1 life, usually one shots most players.
Appearance[]
It seems like a large sword with 2 parts: purple and red. There is a skull above the handle with one glowing eye, and a chain hanging from below the handle.
The player combines the sword into one while preparing a charge
When fully charged, it has unique dash animation with faster swing and darker red slash effect
Performance[]
This weapon can 1-2 shot (depending on rage) multiple enemies at same time in one swing.
This weapon also has longest dash distance, making it good for attack and movement.
Combine the movement speed module and the attack speed module with this to maximise movement.
Use gears that increase movement speed to maximise movement even more.
For PC players, pressing esc twice after releasing charge shot will let you charge immediately after dashing.

Strategy[]
Tips[]
- Devil's Lament is a strong attacking melee, after getting multiple kills in 1 life, it gains the ability to one shot most players.
- Use it as an attacking weapon in small, enclosed areas like hallways or small rooms
- If you're in more of an open area with enemies, use its dash attribute to your advantage and try to find a smaller area (if you're on low health)
- If your rage attribute isn't fully active, try targeting weaker enemies at first.
- Do not dash in straight line from the distance as the enemy will predict it, instead dash diagonally then towards them!
- Make sure you are on the ground before dashing, which will allowing you to reach jumping enemies
- Alternatively, try jumping to same level as the enemies for faster timing. However this is more punishing if you mess up as the enemy will notice it easier
- This is incredibly punishing weapon, remember to calculate where you will go and dash at that direction.
- Do not panic if you miss. If you are right next to them, simply walk to the enemies as the dash will still linger and damage everyone who came into contact into you
- Upon missing but the enemy is too far, DO NOT attempt to walk backwards. Instead keep walking and turn around while charging once again
Counters[]
- Stay away from the halls as this weapon can shred through crowds in only 1-2 swings.
- Jump as the user dashes to reduce your chance of being hit
- Due of game latency, jump as early as you can to ensure they do not hit you in their screen
- Take out the user quickly as its rage can be deadly.
- If you are caught in their attack range, try to rocket jump as soon as possible to evade it. But beware of other weapons they may switch into to counter this.
- If you are in Biotic Shield's bubble, do not panic and try to leave (unless they are too close). As it will be very risky for them to dash in it and leaving the bubble will give them a chance to switch to other weapons and kill you instantly
