Description[]
The Obsidian Darts is a Backup weapon introduced in the 24.7.0 update. It can be obtained from the Aztec Season Pixel Pass. It has a very average general property, and a perfect delay mechanic. Usually, it will take 2-3 shots for a kill
Appearance[]
It is an ancient Aztec-themed blowpipe dart. Cyan blue was used as its main color, accented with orange and yellow. There is a dart case attached to the middle of the dart, and a totem mask hangs on the right of it. You can see the soul continually emitting from its eyes. There are 2 feathers hanging below, which move as the player moves.
When firing, players will quickly bring it to their mouth and blow the dart out. When reloading, players will rotate the dart twice and replace the dart case with a new one.
Performance[]
The Obsidian Darts has 2 main attributes, they are Blindness
and Poison
- Blindness
will severely affects the enemy's eyesight. Their screen will be filled with a transparent green layer, and several feathers. - Poison may provide a bigger chance to kill the enemies even if you didn't kill them the first time
In fact, these 2 attributes can't make the Obsidian Darts very strong, so we will focus more on other areas about this weapon
Strategy[]
Basic GamePlay[]
It has no delay mechanic, neither delay output nor input. This means Obsidian Dart has perfect adaptability and can be used in any loadout.
Though this weapon has a bad spread when you continually fire, there's almost no spread in the first shot after you switch to it. This doesn't require a shot by the previous weapon, so there's a way to make it completely spread-free when continuously shooting:
After firing the dart, quickly switch to another weapon and then switch back. This allows you to take another shot without any spread. This technique can be used at any time and will make your attacks more precise.
With its nice damage and rate of fire, it is also worth trying to use it as a stand-alone weapon. Just use the category mentioned above to increase your precision and practice more. Both 3catspam or using it alone will provide players with a great gaming experience.
